All Thunder helicopters are subject to the strictest of Commercial Air Transport maintenance standards set by the UK CAA. Thunder have the added benefit of hangarage embedded with our team of engineers who conduct maintenance oversight every 60 days or 50hrs of operation.

Thunder has built a specialist cadre of pilots focussing its selection on military pilots from the United Kingdom’s Royal Air Force who have achieved the highest standards of training and testing during their extensive careers.

With uncompromising safety standards, and outstanding ability in the air, all Thunder Captains have a minimum of 4000 Flight hours during which they have provided VVIP support to members of the Royal Family, Prime Ministers and Senior Government leaders.

Tom (pictured) is the CEO of Thunder and has 18 years of flying experience with 5000 hours of flying time. He served for 10 years on Number 7 Squadron RAF flying the Chinook and for 3 years on Number 32 'The Royal Squadron' RAF, flying the Agusta 109 in the VVIP role.
